Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and in conjunction with World Habitat Day, the Saudi National Bank and the Development Housing Program celebrated the delivery of the second batch of the second phase of housing units to 115 beneficiary families as part of its social responsibility initiatives. The second phase was   the bank's adoption of the provision of 383 completed housing units for the benefit of families most in need of housing in a number of cities and regions of the Kingdom. This phase was the continuation of achievements made in the first phase, which included the distribution of 500 housing units in 26 cities of the Kingdom, in the largest charitable development housing initiative witnessed by the private sector.

 

His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, pointed out that the delivery of the second batch of the second phase of housing units confirms the effective partnership between the ministry and various national institutions, which contributed to providing thousands of housing units for the most needy families, and as an extension of other initiatives and partnerships to provide adequate housing for Saudi families. He thanked the Chairman of SNB and all its employees for their efforts.

The Bank's developmental housing program comes from the its great interest in community development initiatives aimed at providing a decent life for citizens in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

This came in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Chairman of SNB, Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghamdi, SNB’s ACEO, Mr. Talal Ahmed Al-Khereiji, and the officials of the Ministry and the Bank.

Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of SNB, stated that the second batch of the second phase of housing units comes as a continuation of the program launched by the bank in the context of its support for government efforts to provide decent housing for Saudi families. This initiative is in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, as this phase comes as a follow-up to what was achieved during the first phase, which included the distribution of 500 housing units. He pointed out that the bank is keen to strengthen its partnership with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the developmental housing program, which is one of the main pillars of the sustainable development program system in the Kingdom. It is noteworthy that the delivery of the units within the second batch of the second phase included 115 families in different regions and cities.

 

On the sidelines of the event, the launch of the third phase of the Bank's developmental housing program was announced. This phase will extend over a three-year period starting from 2025 until 2027 and it will include the distribution of 333 housing units ready for immediate housing to beneficiary families in different regions and cities in the Kingdom.

 

SNB is the first bank to adopt this charitable project which is considered one of the largest initiatives for charitable developmental housing led by the private sector. This project included 883 families during the first and second phases of the most needy families in various parts of the Kingdom.
