Reporting directly to the CEO, our Islamic Banking Development Group was established in 2006. With a specific focus on the development of Islamic banking, their aim is to:
- Stay current with international developments Islamic banking to maintain our leading position
- Provide consultancy services to NCB departments with an aim to offer all customers more effective Shariah compliant solutions and products
- Support executive management in creating strategic plans for Islamic banking across departments
- Coordinate with departments to develop specialised training programs focused on Islamic banking
- Set up regulations and criteria for reviewing the bank’s Shariah compliant transactions, and issue regular reports on standards compliance
