NCB continuously seeks to perform an active role in humanitarian and charity work and to achieve social solidarity through the design and adoption of innovative programs in order to meet the actual needs of the community through the following programs:

  • AlAhli Charity Organizations Program
  • AlAhli Orphans' Program
  • AlAhli Voluntary Work Program
  • AlAhli Disabled Program 

AlAhli Charity Organizations Program

Since its inception, NCB has always been keen to establish collaborative relationships with the charity organizations to enable them to perform their role in serving the community, especially the disadvantaged groups in the society.  This trend by the Bank was based on its belief in the great and good role played by these organizations.

·  AlAhli Charity Organizations Support Project:

The Major roll of this program is supporting charitable organization though direct monetary subsidies or issuing adequate amount of money to support the organization activities, and this program managed to reached and support 412 organizations in 161 different cites and villages.

·  Building The Capacity of Workers in Charitable Societies:

This program started in 2010 as collaboration between NCB and King Khalid Foundation, 90 trainees were enrolled in this program’s customized courses from 27 charitable organizations in three regions.

AlAhli Orphans' Program

·  School Bag Project:

Through this program, NCB provides support to orphans, not only out of the national duty to serve society, but in response to the religious duty as well.  This program is implemented in coordination and cooperation with the charity associations helping orphans during the school period.  This support is represented in meeting the in-kind school needs of the orphans in terms of stationery tools and supplies within the “School Bag Project”.

Since the start of this program in 2006 till the end of 2010, the program covered orphans in 25 cities and villages around the Kingdom in cooperation with 34 charity organizations, where bags were provided to 89,012 female and male orphans in all school grades.  The project in 2008 included the organization of (the NCB Back To School Festival), which included many entertainment events to bring joy and pleasure to the hearts of the orphan children at the beginning of the school year.  A number of artists and players of the national Saudi football team volunteered to participate in the program.

AlAhli Voluntary Work Program

This program provides NCB staff with the opportunity to contribute by offering their expertise to assist charitable institutions and associations to develop their potentials and perform their mission in the most effective manner. Since the start of the program in 2007 NCB female and male employees joined the Voluntary Work Team, whose membership of volunteers reached 228 members 33 of them joined the program during 2010. 198 voluntary work opportunities have been created for volunteers from charity associations in addition to volunteers within the Injaz Initiative.

AlAhli Disabled Program

The program aims at providing support and care for people with special needs to contribute to the development of capabilities and skills in order to overcome the difficulties imposed by their disabilities, and ultimately to empower them to reintegrate into the society and normally interact with their surroundings.

·  Prosthetic Parts Project:

525 children supplement parts were offered since 2009 in collaboration with Disabled Children Association and Jeddah Institution of Speech and Hearing.  

·   Disabled Training and Employment project :

40 deaf females have been trained and recruited in 2008 in cooperation with "Takatof" project for recruiting desabled people.
